Douglas Fir Flooring Installation

At Hoff Parquet, we specialise in the expert installation of Douglas fir wood flooring across the UK. Whether you're in Edinburgh, London, or anywhere in between, our experienced team is here to ensure your flooring is installed to the highest standard.
Why Choose a Professional Douglas Fir Flooring Installer?Douglas fir is a beautiful and sustainable softwood, known for its natural grain, warm tones, and exceptionally long and wide planks. However, installing Douglas fir flooring is not as straightforward as with other hardwoods.

Being a softwood, Douglas fir is more delicate and prone to surface dents or scratches during installation if not handled properly. The long plank lengths – often up to 4 metres – also require specialist skills and the right tools to ensure proper alignment, expansion gaps, and a secure fit.

The Challenges We Solve:

• Careful handling of softwood during fitting
• Perfect alignment of long, wide planks
• Subfloor preparation to prevent warping or cupping
• Use of flexible adhesives and suitable underlays
• Seamless integration with underfloor heating and skirting

Bespoke Douglas Fir Joinery & Finishing Touches

To complete your flooring project to the highest possible standard, we also craft bespoke Douglas fir elements, including:

• Stair treads and risers
• Thresholds
• Skirting boards and nosing
• Wall cladding and finishing trims

All crafted in-house using premium-grade Douglas fir wood and finished with eco-friendly oils or hardwax oils to match your flooring perfectly.
