LIGHT CARBON 1 chevron parquet flooring is a subtle, nuanced interpretation of European oak, defined by a light brown base tone softened with a very gentle hint of grey. The colour is developed through reactive staining combined with oil treatment, allowing the finish to form naturally within the wood. This process creates organic depth and variation, with the warmth of light brown clearly leading the palette while grey undertones remain understated and refined.
The reactive stains interact with the oak’s natural tannins, producing a living surface with soft movement and mineral character rather than uniform colour. The boards are then oiled to enhance grain clarity and preserve the wood’s breathable, tactile quality. The result is a calm, architectural floor that feels natural, balanced, and quietly sophisticated.
LIGHT CARBON 1 is particularly well suited to interiors that seek warmth without heaviness and neutrality without coldness—making it highly adaptable across both contemporary and classic design schemes.
