Curved edge planks are laid differently from straight boards. Each plank is scribed to its neighbour, so the layout is planned on the floor before anything is fixed, and wide, irregular boards are best glued to a flat, dry subfloor so they stay put through seasonal humidity changes. They work in open-plan living spaces, barn and cottage conversions and contemporary new builds, where the flowing joints can run the length of the room.

Yes, in engineered form with a stable base, fully glued to a dry screed. Wide boards are more sensitive to heat and humidity changes, so keep the floor surface at or below 27°C and indoor humidity broadly between 45% and 65%.
How is a curved edge floor fitted?
Planks are dry-laid and scribed to each other so the curves interlock, then numbered and bonded to a flat subfloor. It takes longer than a straight-plank floor, and the subfloor should be level and dry before work starts.
