European Walnut

European Walnut Herringbone Parquet is engineered walnut flooring laid in a herringbone pattern, sanded and finished with a natural hard-wax oil. European walnut is lighter and more nuanced than American walnut, mixing warm browns with soft grey and golden notes, and it suits luxury homes, period properties and boutique hospitality projects.

In a herringbone layout the fine, flowing walnut grain changes direction with every block, so the floor shimmers subtly as light moves across it. The clear matt oil keeps the timber looking natural rather than glossy, and it can be maintained locally rather than stripped back.

Blocks are made in 80mm, 100mm, 120mm and 140mm widths and lengths from 400mm to 800mm, or bespoke.

• A 4mm or 6mm walnut surface over an engineered core, 13mm to 21mm thick
• Fully bonded, with micro bevels on four sides
• Underfloor heating compatible when kept at 27°C or below at the surface
• Rustic, Natural and Select grades

Walnut responds well to Hoff Parquet Cleaner and an occasional Hoff Parquet Wax Refresher treatment. It pairs beautifully with cream walls, aged brass and dark green or blue joinery.
