At Hoff Parquet, we recently completed a project on Midmar Drive, Edinburgh, one of the city’s most sought-after locations. Known for its stunning views and peaceful surroundings, Midmar Drive offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and urban convenience. Nestled close to the majestic Blackford Hill and Hermitage of Braid, this area provides breathtaking panoramas and access to green spaces, making it a gem in Edinburgh's landscape.

For this project, we supplied and installed premium-quality 18mm/100mm/500mm American Black Walnut Herringbone Parquet Flooring, perfectly complementing the elegance of the property and its surroundings.
The first step was to prepare the space by removing all existing carpets and wood flooring. We then levelled the subfloor with 9mm plywood sheets, ensuring a stable and smooth base for the herringbone parquet flooring installation.
The client added a creative twist to the design by choosing oak wood parquet blocks as a contrasting border. This decision brought a unique sense of style, combining warm oak tones with the rich, dark hues of the American Black Walnut.

The flooring was installed using a combination of glue-down and secret-nailing methods for a secure and flawless finish.
After visiting our Edinburgh wood flooring showroom, the client selected American Black Walnut for its luxurious appearance and excellent durability. This hardwood is prized for its deep brown tones and unique grain patterns, adding sophistication and warmth to any space. It’s also highly durable, making it perfect for both aesthetics and practicality in a family home.
