Beige

Beige is a gently smoked European oak engineered floor, sanded and finished with a natural eco oil and hard-wax. Smoking mellows the oak to a muted grey-brown, giving a light smoked oak floor that sits just as comfortably in a Victorian flat as in a new-build family home.

Smoking works by reacting with the tannins inside the oak, so the shade goes into the fibres rather than resting on top like a stain, and it varies naturally from one plank to the next. Overall board thickness is 13mm, 16mm or 21mm, of which the top 4mm or 6mm is solid oak, in widths of 135mm to 200mm and lengths of 1800-2700mm. A wide plank version reaches 210-400mm across and up to 5000mm long.
