Beige

Beige Solid Oak is a tongue-and-groove plank of solid oak, sanded and treated with a grey eco-friendly oil that settles into a soft, warm beige-grey. It is a quiet, neutral solid oak floor for bedrooms, dining rooms and period lounges that need a calm base for furniture and art.

With no plywood core, the board is oak from top to bottom, so a scuffed or worn Beige floor can be sanded back and re-oiled more than once. Beige is made 15mm or 21mm thick; boards are 140mm, 160mm or 180mm across and run 600mm to 1600mm long, and the edges can be micro bevelled or left square, on two sides or all four.

Installation is either glue-down to screed or plywood with a flexible wood-floor adhesive, or nailing through the tongue onto joists. If you are planning underfloor heating, an engineered board is the safer route; solid oak should only go over heating where the system and fitter have approved it.
