We also made bespoke solid oak stair treads to match the floor and fitted them over a metal stair frame.

These are our European Oak Engineered Wood Flooring Planks 16/180/1800-2200mm, sanded and factory finished in "Project Natural", Rustic wood flooring grade. Solid Oak Bespoke Stair Treads were produced to match the engineered planks and fitted over metal frame.
The "Project Natural" engineered wood planks top wear layer is smooth sanded and simply finished in durable eco friendly hard wax oil enhancing the beauty of the natural grain. All our engineered wood planks are made with a thick oak top layer with bevelled edges bonded to a hardwood water proofed ply base, which means planks are extremely durable and can be glued down to any flat surface including projects with underfloor heating systems. They are available in different thicknesses, widths and lengths, so you can choose the planks that work best for your project.

Can a new oak floor go into a listed New Town flat?
Usually, yes. Replacing floor finishes inside a flat rarely needs consent, but removing original boards or features in a listed building might. Overlaying the original boards with plywood and engineered oak is often the least intrusive approach. Check with the council if you are unsure.
Can oak treads be fitted to a metal staircase?
Yes. Solid oak treads are made to the frame's dimensions and fixed through pre-drilled plates or brackets. Finishing them in the same hardwax oil as the floor keeps the colour consistent between levels.
