About the Solid Oak Bowl No. 1

The No. 1 is a simple bowl, shaped from solid oak with smooth sides and no decoration. The plain form lets the grain do the talking, and each bowl will show slightly different markings.

It is handmade in Europe and impregnated with food-grade oil. That makes it a sensible choice for the kitchen, where it can hold fruit, eggs, shallots or a handful of nuts. Hand wipe it clean rather than soaking it, and top up the oil when the surface starts to look pale.

Away from the kitchen, it can catch keys by the door, hold loose change on a dresser or sit on a coffee table as a quiet focal point.
