Here’s a quick look at the installation process, designed to bring out the beauty and performance of your select-grade chevron parquet flooring:

1. Subfloor Preparation: The subfloor must be clean, level, and completely dry. For spaces with underfloor heating, gradually raise the temperature to stabilise the area before installation.
2. Acclimatisation: Allow the oak blocks to sit in the room for 48-72 hours to adjust to its temperature and humidity. This step helps prevent movement after installation.
3. Precision Laying of the Chevron Pattern: Using a chalk line for guidance, start laying the blocks in a consistent V-shaped chevron pattern. Spread adhesive in small sections to keep the blocks firmly in place, using a high-quality parquet adhesive for maximum stability.
4. Sanding and Finishing: After installation, the floor will need to be sanded for a perfectly smooth surface. You can then apply a finish of your choice—whether an oil, hardwax, or lacquer—to achieve the desired colour, shine, and protection level.
