Drift Oak 002 wall panels are crafted from premium solid European oak and finished with an invisible wood effect hardwax oil, designed to preserve the raw, natural appearance of freshly cut oak while providing long-lasting surface protection. The result is a refined architectural wall panel with an ultra-natural matte appearance and an authentic timber feel.
Inspired by traditional Japanese woodworking, Drift Oak 002 panels are produced using the renowned Naguri technique. This centuries-old method involves carefully structuring the oak surface through hand-guided cutting, carving, and planing techniques to create rhythmic textured patterns with exceptional depth and movement. The sculptured oak surface creates a sophisticated interaction between light and shadow, bringing warmth, texture, and visual character into contemporary interiors. The invisible hardwax oil finish enhances the natural colour tones of the European oak without adding visible gloss or artificial colouring, making it ideal for modern Scandinavian, Japandi, minimalist, and luxury architectural interiors.
