Hoff Parquet is proud to have been part of a premier residential project in one of Edinburgh's most iconic locations, Circus Lane. This stunning project involved supplying and installing European engineered oak wide plank wooden floors, elevating the beauty and warmth of the home.
The project was straightforward, with Hoff Parquet ensuring a seamless process from start to finish. Our high-quality engineered oak planks were chosen for their durability and aesthetic appeal. These European oak wide planks were installed over wet underfloor heating systems, which is an ideal solution for creating a cosy environment in a historic yet contemporary home. The screed subfloor was carefully prepared to ensure maximum stability and longevity for the flooring. To secure the planks in place, we used Stauf flexible elastic wooden floor adhesives—one of the best options for projects with underfloor heating systems. This adhesive ensures that the planks remain securely bonded while allowing for the expansion and contraction of the wood, which is critical for the longevity of the floor. In addition to the flooring, the same engineered oak planks were used to clad the stair treads and risers. Solid oak stair nosing was carefully combined with the planks for a perfect match, adding a cohesive look to the home’s interior. The oak staircase was expertly sanded and finished to ensure it matched the colour and finish of the Hoff Parquet wooden floors as closely as possible, resulting in a seamless and elegant transition from floor to stairs. The oak planks selected for this project measured 16mm thick, 220mm wide, and ranged in length from 1800mm to 3000mm. With a Natural grade finish, the planks showcase the authentic beauty of the wood, enhancing the overall aesthetic of this premier residence.
