Select Grade American Walnut Wood Flooring

Select Grade American Walnut sits between the lively rustic grade and the very clean premium grade. It keeps the beautiful flowing grain and warm brown tones of black walnut, with a calmer, more even look across the floor.

What to expect in select grade

• Moderate colour variation with limited light sapwood
• Small sound knots allowed, typically up to around 15mm, filled where needed
• Occasional natural features such as fine checks, filled with matching filler
• A balanced, natural look – the most popular walnut grade for homes

This grade lets the natural beauty of walnut lead: long, gently undulating grain, the occasional curl or figure, and rich chocolate and mocha shades. Just enough character remains to keep the floor feeling natural, while the overall look stays refined and consistent.

Select Grade American Walnut is a versatile choice for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining rooms in both contemporary and classic homes. It looks superb in wide planks, herringbone and chevron parquet, and pairs well with brass, marble, natural stone and soft neutral colours.
