Dark Walnut

Dark Walnut Solid Oak is solid European oak flooring coloured in a deep walnut shade, lightly brushed and finished with eco-friendly oil and hard-wax oil. It gives the luxurious depth of walnut with the strength of oak, ideal for classic homes, libraries, boutique hotels and restaurants.

Light brushing raises the grain slightly so the dark colour picks out its texture, and the hard-wax oil adds a tougher, low-sheen surface for busy rooms. Solid oak this thick can be sanded many times, though a dark colour will need recolouring after a full sand, something our fitters can do on site.

• Walnut-toned solid oak with textured grain
• Thickness 15mm or 21mm, widths 140mm to 180mm, lengths 600mm to 1600mm
• Fixed by secret nailing to joists or gluing to a screed
• Two- or four-side micro bevels, or square edges
• Graded Rustic, Natural, Select or Prime

Solid wood is not ideal over underfloor heating unless the system is approved for it; the engineered board is the better choice there. Darker floors show dust, so mop regularly with Hoff Parquet Cleaner and top up the oil with Hoff Parquet Wax Refresher. Also available as Dark Walnut engineered oak.
