Installation Process
​Laying natural-grade herringbone parquet flooring is a process that brings out the floor’s balanced beauty. Here’s an overview:
  1. Subfloor Preparation: Make sure the subfloor is level, clean, and dry. For installations with underfloor heating, adjust the temperature gradually before laying the flooring.
  2. Acclimatisation: Allow the oak blocks to acclimate in the room for 48-72 hours. This step reduces the risk of movement after installation.
  3. Laying the Pattern: Begin from a central line, placing each block at a 90-degree angle to create the classic herringbone "V" pattern. Apply adhesive in sections to keep each piece securely in place.
  4. Sanding and Finishing: After installation, the floor should be sanded for a smooth, even surface. You can then apply a protective finish—such as oil, hardwax, or lacquer—to highlight the natural beauty of the oak and safeguard it against wear.
