About the Filo Solid Oak Bookcase

Fixed to the wall rather than standing on the floor, this bookcase keeps the floor line clear and lets the room breathe. It sits close to the wall, only 30 cm deep, so it adds storage without crowding a hallway, a study or a bedroom alcove. That is a real advantage in flats where every square metre of floor counts.

The structure is simple. Thin horizontal shelves are separated by vertical dividers, which carve the surface into smaller compartments. Each compartment can be styled differently, with a run of books in one, a vase in the next and a framed print leaning in another. The dividers also stiffen the structure, so they serve looks and strength together.

Because every piece is made to order, the arrangement need not stay standard. Different gaps between shelves and different shelf sizes can be requested, which helps when you are fitting an unusual chimney breast or a tall Georgian wall. Choose the width and the number of shelves for the space you have.

The Filo Solid Oak Bookcase belongs to a collection with soft lines and a quiet look, and it pairs well with the Filo Solid Oak Desk beneath it or the Filo Solid Oak TV Cabinet nearby. It is handmade in Europe from solid oak.
