A low, long solid oak TV cabinet with gently rounded edges and fronts divided in an off-beat rhythm. It keeps the living room calm while hiding away the clutter that comes with a screen.

Choose from pale bleached or raw oak, warm natural or medium oak, or deeper smoked, graphite and dark oak; each finish lets the grain show through.

About the Filo Solid Oak TV Cabinet

Nothing about the Filo has a hard corner. Every edge is eased into a soft curve, which takes the weight out of a big run of solid oak and makes the cabinet feel friendly rather than heavy. It sits low, at 45 cm, and stays shallow at 40 cm deep, so it holds a television without swallowing the wall behind it.

The fronts are where it gets interesting. Instead of a neat row of identical doors, the divisions fall at slightly uneven intervals, giving the surface a quiet, irregular rhythm. It is a small detail, but it stops a long cabinet from looking like a plain box. The shorter lengths carry four doors; the two longest carry six.

It suits a settled Georgian sitting room as happily as a new-build living area, and the long lengths are a good answer to the generous walls found in many Edinburgh tenement flats. Pale oak keeps things airy, while darker tones give a more grounded look against painted walls.
