A calm oak desk with two roomy drawers and a recess above them for a printer. The pedestal can go on whichever side suits your room, and the drawer fronts come smooth or textured.

You can pick pale bleached or raw oak, natural or medium oak, or darker smoked, graphite and dark oak, to suit the rest of the room.

About the Filo Solid Oak Desk

Working from home tends to mean working in the corner of a living room or a spare bedroom, so a desk has to look good as well as function. The Filo is quiet and uncluttered. Its lines are plain, its edges are soft and its oak surface gives a room a warm focal point instead of a piece of office kit.

The practical thinking is in the pedestal. Two deep drawers hold paperwork, chargers and stationery, and a recess above them gives a printer or other small device a home, so the desktop stays free for a laptop and a notebook. You decide which side the pedestal sits on, which means the desk can be matched to the window, the door and the socket in your room.

You can also choose the character of the drawer fronts. Smooth gives a restrained look. The Pino and Lino options use the textured finishes familiar from those cabinet ranges, so the desk can match them if you are furnishing a whole room. The top is a glued laminated build with a real oak top layer, 3 cm thick, finished with oils and waxes.

Desk widths suit everything from a small flat bedroom to a Victorian study. It sits well with the Filo Solid Oak Bookcase on the wall above it, and the Filo Solid Oak Standing Bookcase beside it. Made in Europe by hand and made to order.
