A calm, low-profile solid oak bed with a headboard of slim rungs and softened edges, with optional upholstered cushions. Handmade in Europe and available in four sizes.

Wood colour options range from natural, raw and bleached oak through medium and smoked tones to dark and graphite, so you can match the grain to your floor and walls.

Mattress: designed for a mattress 24cm thick, which sits 11cm above the frame. The bed is supplied without a slatted base.

About the Kiko Solid Oak Bed

Kiko is a bed that tries not to shout. The headboard is made from slim vertical rungs, so light passes through it and a small room does not feel boxed in, and the frame edges are gently rounded rather than sharp. The result is a quiet, craft-led shape that sits happily in Scandinavian, Japanese-inspired and soft modern bedrooms.

Each bed is handmade in Europe from solid oak. A support rail runs along the centre with an additional leg beneath it, so the base is held firmly whichever slatted base you choose to go with it. The 20cm gap under the bed keeps the floor visible and easy to clean, which also makes a room look larger.

If you sit up to read, you can add upholstered cushions to the headboard in Favola, Tokyo or Mare fabric. Leave them off for the pure oak look, or add them for a softer backrest. In a Georgian or Victorian bedroom the slim headboard stays out of the way of tall sash windows, while in a compact modern flat it keeps the layout open.
