About Dark White Solid Oak

Dark White Solid Oak is solid European oak with a structured surface, finished with eco-friendly oil and natural hard-wax oil. Despite its name it is not white: the name describes a balance of light and shade, giving a deep, refined tone with subtle variation suited to contemporary homes and quiet luxury interiors.

The structured surface brings the grain forward, while controlled colour variation keeps the floor rich without looking busy. A solid board can be re-sanded many times, so this is a floor for the long term. Boards are made 15mm or 21mm thick in 140mm, 160mm or 180mm widths, in lengths of 600mm to 1600mm.

Deep, understated tone with a textured finish
Breathable oil base topped with hard-wax oil for durability
Nail down onto joists or plywood, or bond to screed
Micro bevelled or square edges, two or four sides
Grades from Rustic to Prime

Over underfloor heating, the engineered version is the safer choice unless your system is approved for solid boards. Day to day, Hoff Parquet Cleaner is all it needs; use Hoff Parquet Wax Refresher once the sheen dulls. Also available as Dark White engineered oak.
