A solid oak dining table with softened corners and sculpted legs, available fixed or with an extension that tucks into the top. Its low frame leaves plenty of room for knees and chairs.

You can choose pale bleached or raw oak, natural or medium oak, or darker smoked, graphite and dark oak to suit your room and chairs.

About the Filo Solid Oak Extending Dining Table

The Filo dining table is a study in softness. The corners are gently rounded, the edges are eased and the legs are shaped so everything flows into the next surface. Nothing is sharp and nothing shouts, which is why the table looks at home in Japanese-inspired rooms, modern retro schemes and calm contemporary interiors alike.

Comfort was a big part of the design. The frame beneath the top sits low, so legroom stays generous and you can slide in on a chair with arms without bumping into anything. It is the sort of detail you notice only after a long dinner, and it matters in a table you sit at for hours.

For flexibility, you can order it extending. The butterfly system lets you draw the top apart and unfold one or two leaves that are stored inside the table itself, so the extra length appears with a smooth, light movement and the mechanism stays out of sight. That is ideal for a flat where the table usually seats four but needs to stretch at the weekend, or for a Georgian dining room hosting a larger family gathering. A fixed, non-extending table is also available.

The top is made from wide oak slats that run the full length with no joins along it, so you see broad, unbroken grain. Handmade in Europe from solid oak, it matches the rest of the Filo range, including the Filo Solid Oak TV Cabinet.
