About the Hoya 3-Seater Sofa with Solid Oak Frame

Hoya is a sofa that makes a room feel settled rather than crowded. The lines curve gently from the seat into the backrest, so the shape looks like one continuous form instead of a box with cushions. The exposed frame is solid oak, handmade in Europe and made to order, with the grain left visible and finished in natural oil.

It is designed for living rooms where lightness matters as much as comfort. The seat is 70cm deep and sits 39cm off the floor, with a total height of 75cm, so it is not overbearing in a lounge with modest ceilings. This makes it a good match for modern flats and for Scandinavian and minimalist interiors, and it suits an Edinburgh tenement lounge where you want seating that does not overwhelm a bay window. In a Georgian or Victorian drawing room it provides a quieter modern counterpoint to period furniture.

You choose the fabric from three options, and the frame can be oak in a range of colours or American walnut, which lets you tune the sofa to the tone of your floor. Because the frame is natural wood, it pairs happily with other oak pieces. Put the Hoya Solid Oak Side Table at one end for a coordinated arrangement.

Beyond the home, the simple shape is equally suitable for offices, studios and waiting areas.
