A compact solid oak footstool with an upholstered seat and crisp, 1960s-inspired lines. It matches the Piko armchair and also works as extra perching space.

The wood colour options run from pale raw, natural and bleached oak through medium and dark oak to smoked and graphite oak, so the stool can echo the armchair frame or contrast with it.

About the Piko Solid Oak Footstool

A footstool earns its place the first evening you put your feet up. The Piko version has a padded, fabric-covered seat on straight solid oak legs, and its crisp edges and simple geometry nod to 1960s furniture without feeling dated.

It is handmade in Europe, with a solid oak frame and your choice of fabric on the seat. The oak is finished in natural oils and waxes and given a hydrophobic coating that repels water and stains. That coating helps in a living room where drinks and dogs are part of life, although it does need periodic maintenance. At 44 cm high and 66 cm wide across the seat it sits at a natural level beside a lounge chair, and it is light enough to move around when guests arrive.

It is designed as a partner to the Piko Solid Oak Armchair, and the pair make a proper reading corner. On its own it can serve as a spare seat by a window, at the end of a bed, or tucked beside a sofa in a Scandinavian or mid-century style room. The compact footprint works equally in a big Georgian drawing room and in a modern flat living area.
