A low, long solid oak TV cabinet with a soundbar cut-out, cable grommet and no back panel. Choose 160cm or 200cm, add 40cm modules, and stand it on a plinth or hang it on the wall.

The wood colour options are natural, raw, bleached, smoked, graphite, dark and medium oak, each a finish applied to the same solid oak, so choose whichever suits your room and floor.

Dimensions: depth 40cm. Basic cabinet length 160cm or 200cm, plus an optional 40cm open module and an optional 40cm closed module. Height 34cm for the cabinet plus 13cm for the base. Space inside the main cabinet is 10cm under the shelf and 15cm above it; the closed extra module has no shelf.

Material: 100% solid oak.

Finish: natural oils and waxes approved for food contact and for children's toys (EN1186, EN 71-3), with a hydrophobic, stain- and water-repellent coating.

Features: shelf and soundbar divider, cable grommet on the top, no back panel, drop-down door.

About the Raum Solid Oak TV Cabinet

Raum is a low, long media unit for anyone tired of trailing cables and crowded walls. It is handmade in Europe from solid oak, made to order, and sized to sit beneath a television rather than compete with it.

You begin with a main cabinet in either of two lengths, then decide whether to add a 40cm open box for a console, books or a large houseplant, or a 40cm closed box for anything you would rather keep out of sight. The doors can be fully solid for a calm, minimalist front, or transparent so remote signals still reach your streaming box and speakers. The base is either a plinth that rests on the floor or a suspended mount that leaves floor visible underneath, which helps a small room feel larger.

The practical details are well thought through. Inside the main section there is a shelf and a divider with an opening shaped for a soundbar. A cable grommet at the rear of the top lets you run leads for anything placed on the cabinet, and because there is no back panel, the unit can sit flush against a wall with sockets behind it.

At just 40cm deep it suits a modern flat with a wall-mounted screen, a Victorian living room with a bay window, or an Edinburgh tenement lounge where the chimney breast already limits the layout. The oak is finished with natural oils and waxes and a stain- and water-repellent coating, so everyday life is less of a worry.
