A slim 35 cm deep solid oak console with two push-to-open drawers, made for hallways and corridors where space is tight. It holds keys, post and small essentials.

The wood colour options run from pale raw, natural and bleached oak through medium and dark oak to smoked and graphite oak, so the console can echo your flooring or sit in contrast to it.

About the Rosto Solid Oak Console Table

Hallways in Edinburgh tenements and Victorian terraces are rarely generous, and this console is built for that reality. At just 35 cm deep it leaves room to walk past, yet it still carries two proper drawers for keys, letters, gloves and the other small things that gather by the front door.

The drawers open with a light push, so the front stays free of handles and the oak grain runs cleanly across it. The piece is made from solid oak, handmade in Europe, with a slender profile that keeps the look light. Three widths are available, so you can choose one that suits a short entrance or a longer corridor wall. The top has an oiled and waxed finish plus a hydrophobic coating that shrugs off water and stains, though it does benefit from periodic maintenance.

Hang a mirror or a framed print above and you have a tidy arrival point; add a lamp or a bowl of keys on top for the finishing touch. It also works behind a sofa or under a window in a modern flat, wherever a narrow surface is useful.
