A low solid oak TV cabinet with black lacquered detailing, raised on a slim black steel frame. Plenty of open storage behind the doors, and it arrives fully assembled.

The wood colour options range from raw and natural oak, which keep a light, true-to-wood look, through bleached, medium, smoked, dark and graphite oak, which are stained or tinted for a deeper or cooler tone; the grain stays visible in every one.

Dimensions: depth 40 cm; height 43 cm; frame height 16 cm. Width as selected.
Material: solid oak body, black lacquered partition and base, black steel frame.
Finish: natural oils and waxes, plus a hydrophobic, stain- and water-repellent coating (periodic maintenance required).

Storage: one large open compartment behind the door; the 180 cm version fits up to three rows of CDs in the black section. The 120 cm width has one door and one partition; wider versions have double doors.
Delivery: arrives fully assembled.

About the Rosto Solid Oak TV Cabinet

This is a low, long cabinet that earns its place through restraint. The body is solid oak, set against a black lacquered partition and base, and the whole piece stands on a black steel frame that lifts it off the floor. The contrast between pale wood and dark detailing keeps it looking modern without any decoration.

Behind the door sits one large open compartment rather than a series of tight pigeonholes, so bulky audio equipment, a games console, routers and cables all fit in together. At the widest size the black section takes up to three rows of CDs. The narrowest version has a single door and a divider, while the longer cabinets use double doors so the proportions stay balanced whichever width you pick. You can also choose whether the cabinet opens from the left or the right.

It is handmade in Europe from solid oak and made to order. The surface is finished with natural oils and waxes and a hydrophobic coating that repels water and stains; as with any oiled wood, it benefits from periodic maintenance.

Where it works

At only 43 cm high it suits a wall-mounted television above it, or a smaller set on top. It sits easily in a loft conversion, a Scandinavian-style living room or a modern flat, and the steel and oak combination also looks at home against the plain walls of an Edinburgh tenement sitting room.
